Jewelry for GODDESSES by Gordana Awakening and Honoring the Sacred Goddess Within
About the 1st (Root) Chakra
The 1st (Root) chakra ~ is the densest of the seven chakras, and provides the foundation for the whole chakra system. As such it also represents the foundation on which we build our life by having security, safety and stability, personal worth, and instincts for survival. This chakra has earth energy, and is associated with the feeling of grounding. Grounding is the process of dynamic contact with the Earth that occurs through our legs and feet, and represents the building of our foundation. Without a good foundation, nothing that follows will be as durable. The well-grounded person is in touch with their body, in touch with the truths buried within, and can manifest greater health, prosperity, and well-being.

I am following the chakra system school where within the human body there are seven main chakras. The lower chakras - the 1st, 2nd and 3rd - are associated with fundamental emotions and needs, for the energy here vibrates at a lower frequency. The finer energies of the upper chakras - the 5th, 6th and 7th - correspond to our higher mental and spiritual aspirations and faculties. The 4th (Heart) chakra bridges these three lower, earth-bound centers that are concerned mainly with being in our physical body, with the three upper chakras that provide us with an access to the more expansive spiritual realms.
Each of these seven chakras have their separate purpose, but they must work together to create balance in our body. In a healthy and balanced person the chakras provide exactly the right amount of energy to every part of the body, mind, and spirit. The qualities associated with each chakra represent my own short summary within this vast field. I encourage you to research and learn more about the chakra system, but from a reputable source, for this is important and powerful knowledge to have.
There are so many traditions and schools about chakras system. They are all predating our New Age theory of 7 (seven) main chakra system, shown above. Each of these traditions describe the chakras in somewhat different ways, and also assign a different number of chakras to the human body. The difference is also shown in the shapes, elements, symbols, mantra chants, and sounds associated with each chakra. The chakra mappings that are most commonly taught in the West are of Hindu origin, deriving from a branch of yoga called ‘Kundalini’ yoga. Westerners first heard about the chakras through a book published in 1919 called The Serpent Power, by the Englishman Arthur Avalon, who translated ancient Hindu texts about tantra, Kundalini and the chakras concept.
We are naturally receptive to the vibrations of crystals ~ gemstones as they receive, store, transmit, and reflect energy. It is believed, when crystals are placed directly on the body, they could provide powerful healing vibrations.
Great care has been taken in choosing the gemstones used for creating the jewelry offered here. I paid the most attention not just to the colors of the gemstones but to the particular properties that each gemstone could provide to us, as our ally in the Sacred Feminine ~ the Goddess awakening process.
Create an energetic balance among your chakras by using the gemstone pendants to harmonize body, mind, and spirit. The openness and flow of energy through our chakras determines our state of health and balance.
